The experience

You get picked up from your hotel in Medellín and driven in a private air-conditioned vehicle to three separate adventure sites outside the city. The guide speaks both English and Spanish, and every piece of equipment (harnesses, helmets, protective gear for the ATV) arrives with you. No renting separately, no figuring out what fits: it's all there and fitted to your size before you start.

The zip line is the draw: Colombia's second-highest line, where you're clipped in and sent across the canopy with an instructor managing the descent. After that comes horseback riding through the landscape around Medellín (a full ride, not a loop around a corral), and then ATV time on trails where you control the machine yourself. Each activity has its own certified instructor, so even if you've never done any of it, you're not learning on the fly. The whole sequence takes 12 hours from pickup to drop-off, which means you're moving between sites and gearing up, not sitting idle.

Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Bring sunscreen and a hat. The guide checks everyone's temperature at the start of the day as a standard safety measure. If you're traveling with kids, they need to be at least 8 years old and accompanied by an adult the whole time. Infants and small children can stay in a pram or stroller during transport between activities.
