Wulong 3 Natural Bridges & Fairy Mountain UNESCO Tour
The three bridges sit at the bottom of a sinkhole you descend by elevator.
A full-day tour from Chongqing to Wulong, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, combining two distinct landscapes: Tiankeng (Three Natural Bridges), where you take an elevator down into a karst sinkhole to walk among three massive natural stone arches and visit the courtyard that filmed "Curse of the Golden Flower"; and Fairy Mountain, an alpine grassland known as the "Oriental Switzerland" where you ride a scenic train through vast meadows. The tour includes entrance fees, air-conditioned transport, and a live guide in English or Spanish. Lunch is not included, and activities at Fairy Mountain (horseback riding, archery, grass skiing) are available at your own expense.

The experience
Eight hours from Chongqing gets you to two places most visitors never see in one day. Tiankeng is the core: you take an elevator down to the bottom of a massive karst sinkhole where three natural stone arch bridges (Tianlong, Qinglong, and Heilong) rise above you like monuments carved by water and time. The bridges are the real draw, but the sinkhole also holds Tianfu Official Inn, a courtyard house tucked at the bottom that served as an exterior filming location for "Curse of the Golden Flower." It sits there almost untouched, a small human structure dwarfed by the geology around it.
Fairy Mountain is the second half of the day, and it reads like a different country. It's an alpine grassland in southern China (the kind of vast, open meadow you don't expect to find this far south), which is why locals call it the "Oriental Switzerland." You ride a scenic train through it, getting off at Grassland Station to walk and photograph the meadows, or at Racecourse Station if you want to add horseback riding, archery, or grass skiing at your own cost. The train itself is usually at your own expense, but it's the easiest way to cover the terrain without hiking the whole thing.
Your guide speaks either English or Spanish, you choose when you book, and travels with the group the whole way. Transport is air-conditioned, which matters on a full day in the sun. Entrance fees to both sites are included. Bring your own lunch or plan to eat near the train stations.

Is this one for you?Choose the English option if that's your language, or Spanish if you prefer. Both are live guides, not recordings. The eight-hour length means you see both sites in a single day without rushing, though you'll want to eat before or after rather than during the tour.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What are the three natural bridges at Tiankeng actually like?
Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge are massive natural stone arches formed by karst erosion over millions of years, each one a separate structure rising from the sinkhole floor. You walk among them after the elevator lowers you to the bottom, so you're standing directly beneath and beside them, not viewing from a distance.
Do I have to hike a lot at Tiankeng?
You take an elevator down into the sinkhole, then walk to see the three bridges and the Tianfu Official Inn courtyard. The walking is moderate and happens on the sinkhole floor, not climbing in and out.
What is Fairy Mountain, and how do I see it?
Fairy Mountain is an alpine grassland plateau in southern China, known for its vast open meadows and mountain views. A scenic train runs through it, and you ride the train to reach different stations: Grassland Station for walking and photography, or Racecourse Station for optional activities like horseback riding and archery.
Is the scenic train at Fairy Mountain included in the tour price?
The train ride is usually at your own expense, though it's the standard way to explore the grassland. Entrance to Fairy Mountain itself is included in the tour.
Can I do horseback riding or archery at Fairy Mountain?
Yes, both are available at Racecourse Station, but they cost extra and are entirely optional. Grass skiing is also offered in winter, all at your own expense.
