Step-by-step itinerary
Explore tea fields and historic gardens
- Meet guide at hotel or station
- Hike Longjing tea mountain
- Enjoy tea tasting
- Have lunch at tea farm
- Visit Guo's Garden and view West Lake
- Tour Former Residence of Xueyan Hu

The experience
You start at your hotel or Hangzhou Railway Station and head straight to the Longjing tea field, where you walk the tea mountain itself. A short hike through the rows lets you see how the tea grows and understand the work behind it before you sit down for tea tasting. After that comes lunch at the farm, built into the day so you're eating where the tea comes from.
The route then takes you to Guo's Garden, a Song Dynasty merchant's villa set against a mountain backdrop with views across to West Lake. From there you move to the Former Residence of Xueyan Hu, a Qing dynasty businessman's house that anchors the second half of the tour. If time allows, your guide can add a walk through Hefang Street and Southern Song Imperial Street, or arrange a separate boat ride on West Lake (at your own cost).
Your private guide handles the commentary in English or Chinese, and the private vehicle means no waiting for other groups or fixed departure times. Entrance fees and lunch are included. You bring only comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
