The experience

Sun Island Snow Festival opens the day. Your guide and driver pick you up from your centrally located Harbin hotel in the early morning, finishing all hotel collections by 9:40am before heading to Sun Island. You have two hours there, from 10:00am to noon, to walk the snow sculptures and installations at your own pace within the group.

Lunch breaks at 1:00pm for an hour and a half of local cooking, rice, soft drinks and Harbin beer. The afternoon moves to Harbin Ice and Snow World, where you spend two hours from 4:30pm to 6:30pm exploring the ice sculptures, slides and frozen structures. The guide stays with the group throughout. If you want to visit a different attraction during the free time between lunch and the ice world, the group can agree to it, though entry fees for any extra site are your own cost. The tour ends with a return to your hotel by 6:30pm.

If you are traveling alone, you will be transferred by subway, Didi or taxi instead of a group vehicle. The tour operates only during winter season, so dress in layers, hat, gloves and comfortable walking boots. You must be on time for all scheduled meetups during the day.
