The experience

Harbin Private Tour starts at your hotel at 9:00am with a pickup by your guide. The morning begins at Saint Sophia Church for about half an hour, then moves into the Ice and Snow World: an indoor venue in summer months and an outdoor festival in winter. The guide will discuss which attractions suit your interests when you meet, so the route can shift based on what you want to see.

After the Ice and Snow World, the tour takes you to Sun Island, where summer brings trees and flowers alongside an indoor ice and snow gallery. From there you head to Stalin Park on the Songhua River, where you can ride the ropeway across the water, walk along the riverbank, and see the old Russian town. The afternoon ends on Zhongyang Pedestrian Street, Harbin's most famous shopping and walking street, before your guide returns you to the hotel.

The full day runs 8 to 9 hours. If you book with private vehicle transport, the driver and guide cost an extra 150 CNY per hour beyond the standard time. Without the vehicle, additional hours are 100 CNY. Entrance fees to each attraction are not included and run roughly 1,000 CNY per person total. Bring enough cash, as international credit cards do not work in Harbin. WeChat Pay and Alipay are accepted. The guide can add stops not on this list if you ask on the morning of the tour, or you can email ahead to arrange them.
