The experience

The first thing I noticed was the glow: neon blue on the Water Cube, that strange honeycomb shape next to the Bird’s Nest. He said his grandmother used to live in one. Yandaixie Street was busier than I expected for a Tuesday. Incense smoke drifted from a tiny shop selling calligraphy brushes.
