Safari Park tour Santiago: 3 guided safaris with breakfast
Three safaris in one morning, from lions to dinosaur replicas
Safari Park is a guided tour from Santiago that starts with a typical Chilean countryside breakfast, then moves through three separate vehicle safaris—Big Cats, Herbivores, and Jurassic—where you ride in specially designed vehicles to watch animals in large enclosures. The park also functions as a rehabilitation center for wild birds, turtles and sea lions. Round-trip transfer from your chosen Santiago pickup point is included, as is a bilingual guide and one activity of your choice at the end: kayaking, zip-lining, trampolines or a simulator.

The Experience
The day begins at Parque Arauco, one of Santiago's largest shopping centers, where your group boards a bus for the drive to Safari Park. A typical breakfast of Chilean countryside fare waits at the park's restaurant before the three safaris start. Each one moves through the park in a vehicle built to bring you close to the animals while a bilingual guide explains the species and behavior you're watching—big cats first, then herbivores grazing in their own expanses, then a Jurassic section with dinosaur reproductions that shift the mood entirely.
The vehicles are air-conditioned and designed so the enclosures stay visible and safe from your seat. You're not walking the park; you're riding through it, which means the animals stay in their space and you stay in yours, but close enough to see detail. The guide speaks English, Spanish or Portuguese depending on your group, and the park itself doubles as a rehabilitation center, so some of what you see includes birds of prey, turtles and sea lions being cared for on-site.
After the three safaris, you choose one activity to close the day: kayaking, zip-lining, jumping on trampolines, or a simulator ride. The return trip to Parque Arauco takes about an hour, and the whole tour runs seven hours from start to finish. Infants ride on an adult's lap; the park is suitable for all fitness levels.
