This half-day Vancouver city tour departs Canada Place at 10am and covers six major landmarks—Jack Poole Plaza, Stanley Park, English Bay, Gastown, Granville Island and the Vancouver Lookout—with admission to the observation tower included. The tour runs about five and a half hours on a comfortable mini-coach with a maximum of 24 guests, and includes an optional walking tour through Stanley Park to see the First Nations totem poles. The Experience
The tour leaves Canada Place at 10am, so you'll arrive 15 minutes early to meet your guide outside the cruise terminal. From there, the route moves straight into Jack Poole Plaza to see the Olympic Cauldron built for the 2010 Winter Games, then heads to Stanley Park. Here the optional walking tour lets you explore the First Nations totem poles and their stories, or you can stay with the coach; either way, you'll walk the Seawall for the iconic view of the downtown skyline and the North Shore Mountains framed by the Lions Gate Bridge at Prospect Point Lookout.
The driving portion takes you through English Bay—the downtown beachfront with sandy shores—and the West End's vibrant neighborhoods, then into False Creek for views of the city reflected in the water. Gastown comes next, the original settlement with its famous steamclock and cobblestone streets (this stop doesn't run on Sundays). The tour then climbs to the Vancouver Lookout, where a glass elevator takes you to the observation deck for a full 360° panoramic view of the city and surrounding mountains.
Granville Island is the final stop, a public market and arts hub in the middle of False Creek where you'll have free time for a late lunch, coffee or shopping before returning to Canada Place around 3pm. The mini-coach has air conditioning and large windows, and the guide's onboard commentary runs throughout the route.
