The experience
We were already halfway up the Niagara SkyWheel before I realized how quiet it gets inside those glassy gondolas. You could still hear the distant rush of the falls, but mostly it was just us, a bit of nervous laughter, and the soft hum as we climbed higher over Clifton Hill. Our guide at the entrance (I think his name was Mark) joked about how kids always try to spot their hotel from the top. I tried too, honestly. The city looked kind of toy-like from up there.
The air inside was cool, even though outside felt sticky with summer.
