The experience
You arrive at your hotel or meeting point in the early morning darkness. The guide picks you up and drives to Moraine Lake, timing the arrival for sunrise. The turquoise water and the Valley of the Ten Peaks emerge in golden light while the parking lot is still empty. This early access is the core of the tour, and it is why the guide knows exactly when to leave. You walk the shoreline, stop at viewpoints, and listen to the guide explain the lake's geology, wildlife and history. The guide speaks English or Hindi depending on your booking.
After Moraine Lake, you drive to Lake Louise. Here you stroll along the shore, take in the panoramic views from the Rockpile viewpoint, and have time to absorb the scale of the snow-capped peaks and glaciers surrounding the turquoise water. The air-conditioned vehicle and bottled water are included throughout. The entire outing, including drive time between the two lakes, takes about five hours.
