The experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel in Canmore, Calgary or Banff, then heads straight into the Canadian Rockies. You'll spend time at Moraine Lake first, where the turquoise water sits beneath the Valley of the Ten Peaks. The Rockpile Trail viewpoint is there if you want to climb for a better angle, and wildlife often appears in summer. From there, Lake Louise comes next: the Fairmont Chateau sits on the shore, and Victoria Glacier rises across the water. You get time to walk the lakeshore and shoot photos without being rushed.

The route then drops into Banff town for free time to eat, walk Banff Avenue or just sit in a café. A stop at Bow Falls follows, a quick photo break at one of the most-shot spots in the park, and then Surprise Corner rounds out the day. That's the viewpoint where the Bow River bends in front of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. The van holds a maximum of 14 people, which means the stops don't turn into a crowd scramble. Bottled water and snacks are included; Parks Canada entry is covered; the driver stays available if you want help framing a shot or need a local recommendation.
