The experience

Lake Louise sits in Banff National Park with emerald waters backed by glaciers, and the tour spends time there to hike, photograph or simply stand at the shore. From June through mid-October, Moraine Lake joins the route: a smaller alpine lake reflecting the surrounding peaks. When Moraine Lake closes for winter, Johnston Canyon and Lake Minnewanka replace it. The route also passes Cascade Mountain and Castle Mountain, halfway between Banff and Lake Louise, where you stop for views and wildlife spotting.

Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park is the third major stop, known for its clear green water and the surrounding peaks. The tour includes a look at the Lower Spiral Tunnels, an engineering feat that lets trains climb steep mountain grades, and Natural Bridge on the Kicking Horse River south bank. In summer, Banff Town rounds out the day with shops, galleries and restaurants. Lunch is built into the schedule. The full day runs eight to ten hours including drive time.

This is a shared tour, so you travel with other visitors and join a group in your chosen language: English, Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese.
