The Experience
Halifax's waterfront holds three restaurants in sequence, and the tour moves between them on foot. The first stop serves seafood chowder — shrimp, scallops, salmon, haddock and mussels in cream, with a buttermilk biscuit and molasses butter. The second is a full-sized lobster roll on a split bun with chili and lime aioli, alongside house-made kettle chips. The third brings house-smoked haddock fish cakes with salad, mustard, pickles, salsa verde, olive oil béarnaise and a poached egg.
After the three seafood stops, the route ends at Halifax's best chocolatier. There you get house-made ice cream or sorbet paired with three chocolate truffles. The whole sequence takes 2.5 hours, which means the tour fits into a morning or an early afternoon without consuming the rest of your day.
