Fraser Valley Wine Tour: 12-15 Tastings with Sommelier Guide
Three wineries, three sommeliers, one afternoon of BC wine you won't find on a standard tour
A six-hour wine tasting tour from Vancouver through the Fraser Valley's top wineries, with sommelier-led tastings of 12-15 BC VQA wines, an appetizer platter, and a stop at White Rock's waterfront. The tour includes hotel or home pickup across Greater Vancouver, air-conditioned limo transport, and a trained English-speaking guide who introduces you to each winery's history and the region's wine-making story. The Experience
The limo picks you up from your Vancouver hotel or home and heads south toward Langley, crossing into the Fraser Valley wine country. The drive itself is part of the experience—about three hours round-trip—and the sommelier-selected wineries are spaced so you spend your time tasting, not traveling. You'll visit three of the region's five best wineries, each one chosen for what its wines say about the BC climate and soil.
At each stop, a trained sommelier walks you through four wines, explaining the vineyard, the grape variety, how the wine was made, and what to pair it with. Chaberton, the oldest and largest winery in the Fraser Valley, pours its signature Bacchus and other dry whites in the garden when weather allows. The Glasshouse stop sits steps from the US border on Zero Avenue—the southernmost winery on the BC mainland—and its vineyard views are among the most scenic in the area. The third winery varies by availability (Backyard Vineyards or Cavallo are common substitutes), but all three stops include tastings and access to picnic tables where you can linger. Across all three, you'll sample 12-15 wines total, plus an appetizer platter—cheese, charcuterie, or similar—at one of the stops.
The tour ends with a transition from wine country to the coast. White Rock's pier juts into the Salish Sea with views across Drayton Bay toward the Semiahmoo Peninsula in Washington State. You'll have time to walk, take photos, and sit at one of the seaside spots before the limo returns you to Vancouver. The whole day runs six hours, including drive time and all tastings.

Is this one for you?The tour is led entirely in English by a trained sommelier guide, so you follow the wine and winery history comfortably without translation. What's included in the 12-15 wine samples across the three wineries?
Each winery pours four wines, and a trained sommelier describes the vineyard, grape variety, winemaking process, and pairing notes at every stop. The tastings are included in the tour price, along with an appetizer platter at one location and access to picnic tables and gardens at the wineries.
Can I bring my teenage children on this tour if they won't be tasting wine?
Yes, minors under 19 are welcome with their adult companions. They cannot taste alcohol, but their tasting fees are refunded or credited back, so you pay only for the adults who taste.
How much of the six hours is driving versus time at the wineries?
Transportation takes approximately three hours total—to South Langley, between the three wineries, and back to Vancouver. That leaves about three hours at the wineries and White Rock for tastings, walking, and photos.
What makes Chaberton and Glasshouse different from other Fraser Valley wineries?
Chaberton is the oldest and largest winery in the Fraser Valley by grape planted area and wine production, known for dry fruit-forward whites like Bacchus since the 1990s. Glasshouse sits on Zero Avenue, steps from the US border, making it the southernmost winery on the BC mainland, with some of the most scenic vineyard views in the region.
Is pickup from my Vancouver hotel included, or do I need to get to a meeting point?
Pickup is included from most addresses throughout Greater Vancouver, as long as it doesn't compromise the tour timeline. Confirm your location when you book, and the operator will confirm pickup details.
Will I get photos from the tour?
Yes, Instagram-quality pictures of your experience will be made available after the tour.
