The Experience

You'll ride an e-bike through Canmore for four hours, stopping at three carefully chosen local restaurants where you spend about 40 minutes at each one. The guide leads the way and tells the story of each place—who runs it, what they cook and why—while you eat a real meal, not a taster. The menu changes day to day based on what the chefs are making, so the experience is different each time.

Between the food stops, you pedal at a relaxed pace through some of the most visible scenery in the area. You'll ride along the Bow River, cross the historic Engine Bridge, pass through Policeman's Creek wetland where the photo angles open up in all directions, and cycle Spring Creek's pathways into downtown Canmore. The Three Sisters Mountains—Big Sister, Middle Sister and Little Sister—come into view as you climb toward one of the food partners. The route is designed so the riding connects the eating, not the other way around.

An e-bike and helmet are included, along with bottled water and the behind-the-scenes access at each restaurant—the kind of thing you wouldn't get walking in off the street. The guide is a live person speaking English, and groups stay small enough that the stops don't feel crowded. If you want food or drinks beyond the three curated meals, you can order them at checkout or ask at each stop.

Top questions

What's the pace like on the bike between food stops?

The cycling is relaxed, designed for all fitness levels—you're not racing between restaurants. The e-bike does the heavy work on climbs, so the effort is manageable even if you haven't ridden in years.

Are the meals actual food or just small tastes?

They're substantial dishes, chef-curated and different each day depending on what the restaurants are cooking. You sit down and eat a real meal at each of the three stops, not a sample plate.

What will I see while riding through Canmore?

You'll ride along the Bow River, cross the Engine Bridge, pass through Policeman's Creek wetland with photo opportunities in all directions, cycle Spring Creek's pathways, and see the Three Sisters Mountains as you approach one of the food stops.

Do I need to arrange my own way to the tour?

Yes—the tour doesn't include hotel pickup or drop-off, so you'll need to get to the starting point on your own. Public transportation options are available nearby if you don't have a car.

Can I bring my own bike or do I have to use the e-bike?

An e-bike and helmet are included with the tour, and that's what the route is designed around. You'll use the provided e-bike for the full four hours.

What's the minimum age to join?

The tour is suitable for ages 12 and up. All fitness levels can participate because the e-bike handles the climbing and the pace is relaxed throughout.
