The walk takes about 45 minutes and is graded easy to moderate. Your guide demonstrates the gear and leads you through; if you can walk, you can snowshoe. Bow Lake and surprise stops—Waterfowl Lakes, Herbert Lake, Cline River Falls, or spots the guides keep to themselves—fill out the day depending on what unfolds.

Dress in layers for temperatures well below freezing and bring waterproof boots; the guide will equip you with ice cleats, hiking poles, and everything else you need to move safely on snow and ice.
