The experience

The evening starts with pickup from your Siem Reap hotel by tuk-tuk or minivan, depending on your option. You arrive at either Amazon Angkor or Morakot Restaurant, where the buffet and stage are set. The Apsara performance begins once you're seated with your plate: classical dances first, then folk styles that tell stories of Cambodian tradition. The performance runs continuously while you eat, so there's no waiting between courses and the show.

The buffet holds traditional Cambodian dishes: curries, stir-fries, rice, fresh vegetables and proteins prepared in Khmer style. Staff circulate to refill plates and pour water. A cool towel arrives during the meal. The dances shift in tempo and costume (some slow and formal, others faster and more playful), so the evening doesn't flatten into a single rhythm. By the time the final dance ends, the meal is done and the tuk-tuk is waiting to take you back to your hotel.
