The experience
The day starts with pickup at your hotel, then heads to the Royal Palace, the official residence of Cambodia's king, followed by the Silver Pagoda on the same grounds. From there the guide takes you to Wat Phnom, a historical hillock site in the city center that marks the spiritual heart of Phnom Penh. By around 11am you move on to S-21, the genocide museum housed in a former school, then continue south to the Killing Fields, located about 15 kilometers outside the city.
Your guide speaks English and is trained to explain the history at each stop. The driver handles navigation and timing so the full route fits into a single afternoon. The vehicle is air-conditioned, and you get a bottle of water during the tour. At the end, you can return to your hotel or ask to be dropped at any other location that suits your evening plans.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (2 to 12 years).
What is the Royal Palace and why is it the first stop?
The Royal Palace is the official residence of Cambodia's king and remains an active seat of government. It opens the tour as the primary landmark of Phnom Penh's political and cultural identity, and the Silver Pagoda sits within its grounds, so both are visited in sequence without moving the vehicle.
What is S-21 and what should I expect there?
S-21 is a genocide museum housed in a former school used as a prison during the Khmer Rouge regime. It documents the history of that period through photographs, artifacts and personal accounts, and is one of Cambodia's most significant historical sites.
How far is the Killing Fields from Phnom Penh?
The Killing Fields are located about 15 kilometers south of Phnom Penh. The drive is included in the tour route, and the site is visited after S-21 as the final major stop before returning to your hotel.
What happens if I want to be dropped somewhere other than my hotel?
At the end of the tour, you can ask the driver to drop you at any location of your choice instead of returning to your hotel, giving you flexibility to continue your evening elsewhere in the city.
