The experience
The Green Cathedral is not a building but a small river trail where plants have grown tall enough to touch leaves across the water, creating a canopy that filters the Cambodian sun. You paddle through this tunnel of vegetation for the first two hours, moving slowly enough to take in the jungle around you. The guide leads the way and points out the landscape as you go.
After the paddle, you spend time swimming in the river as the light changes toward sunset. The water is calm here, and the surrounding jungle stays visible from the water. Snacks and a drink come with the outing, and the entrance fee to the national park area is included in your booking. Pickup is arranged. The remaining 30 minutes of the total time covers the drive to and from the launch point.
