The experience
The day starts with pickup from your hotel in Natal and a drive south to Madeira beach, the first stop on the coast. From there, the tour moves through a series of smaller beaches and coves, each with its own character: Pipa Beach itself, where you'll find basic facilities and surfers; Praia do Amor, popular with swimmers and surfers alike, with natural pools that form at certain tides; Chapadão, a small and quieter cove tucked below a colorful cliff; and Baia dos Golfinhos, where dolphins swim offshore. Your guide walks you through the geography of each one and points out how the tides and cliffs shape what's accessible and when.
The village of Pipa sits at the end of the route and gets the bulk of your free time. It's an old fishing settlement that has kept its rusticity while adding shops, restaurants, bars and galleries along narrow alleys. You can swim at the beach there, browse handicrafts and local goods, or eat at one of the cafes and restaurants. The village sits on a headland overlooking the water, so there's always a view of the coves below.
Beach access here means stairs (every cove requires climbing down and back up), and two of the beaches (Amor and Baia dos Golfinhos) are only reachable on foot across the sand when the tide is low. Wear sandals or hiking shoes you don't mind getting wet, bring sunscreen and a towel, and plan to swim at Pipa village if the tide timing doesn't work for the others. The tour can be rescheduled or canceled if weather turns or the tide doesn't cooperate. Your guide will let you know in the morning.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 12 years); Infant (under 3): free.
What's the difference between the English, Spanish and Portuguese tour options?
Each option includes the same itinerary and stops. The difference is the language your live guide speaks. Choose the one that matches your comfort level, and a minimum of two people per booking is required for the English option.
Can I reach all five beaches on the same day, or does the tide limit which ones I can visit?
Pipa Beach, Praia do Amor and Chapadão are accessible most of the day via stairs. Baia dos Golfinhos and the beaches on either side of Chapadão require low tide and walking across the sand, so your guide will assess the tide timing in the morning and plan the route accordingly.
Is there time to swim and eat in the village of Pipa, or is it just a quick stop?
The village gets substantial free time built into the eight-hour tour, so you can swim at the beach there, browse the shops and handicrafts, and eat at one of the restaurants or cafes. It's not a rushed stop.
What's included in the tour price, and what should I bring?
Hotel pickup, transport in an air-conditioned coach and a professional guide are included. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a swimsuit, sandals or hiking boots, and a towel. Food, drinks and souvenirs are on your own.
Is there an optional activity I can add on the day?
The "Trenzinho das Falésias" (a small train ride along the cliffs) is available as an optional add-on for approximately R$ 10 BRL, subject to availability and weather.
