A place that has kept the tradition of cassava flour production alive. The guide, a native Portuguese speaker accredited by the operator, leads the route and handles the cultural context once you arrive.

At Casa da Farinha, you watch a presentation on local cassava culture organized by Conductor Cultura José Maria. The demonstration shows how the community manufactures cassava flour using methods that have stayed the same for generations. After the presentation, you get time to swim in the river before the paddle back to Barreirinhas, where the trip ends.

Individual kayaks, life jackets and emergency instructional training are all included. Children from age 11 can join. Younger children can sit on an adult's lap in the kayak.
