The Experience

You start from Fortaleza and drive south toward Canoa Quebrada on day one, passing through Porto das Dunas and Beach Park before reaching the village itself. The route takes you through Morro Branco, Águas Belas and Praia das Fontes—a mix of populated beaches and quieter stretches where the sand cliffs rise behind the shore. You stay the first night at Village Long Beach or a similar property in Canoa Quebrada.

Day two moves you from Canoa Quebrada toward Areia Branca, passing through Tibau and Pernambuquinho. Day three continues south to São Miguel do Gostoso Beach, stopping at Caiçara, Enxu Queimado, Marco and Tourinho along the way. Each night you sleep in a beachfront lodge—the second at Hotel Costa Atlântico, the third at Pousada dos Ponteiros—so you wake up on the coast and drive out again. On the final day, you head toward Natal through Monte Alegre, Cajueiro, Maracajaú and Genipabú, ending at Jacumã Beach near the city.

The tour includes pickup from Fortaleza and a guide who speaks Portuguese throughout. You choose between a buggy or a 4WD at checkout, both suited to the sand and coastal roads. Infants must sit on an adult's lap; the operator notes the tour is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy or cardiovascular concerns, and requires at least moderate fitness.
