The experience
You start by cycling across the bridge that connects Brazil and Paraguay, then head toward Monday Jump in President Franco: a waterfall over 40 meters high set in the Paraná River valley. From there you ride to Marco Paraguay, where you can see the waters of two rivers converging, before taking a ferry crossing into Argentina. Border procedures happen on foot. Bring your RG, CNH or valid visa depending on your nationality.
Once in Argentina, you cycle toward the Three Borders Landmark, passing the Costaneira along the Iguaçu River before reaching Marco Argentino, where you stand at the point where the Paraná and Iguaçu rivers meet and can see both Brazil and Paraguay from the same spot. After lunch (your choice of restaurants), you ride a trail maintained by the Yriapu indigenous community and learn about Guarani culture, then visit La Aripuca, a site demonstrating the relationship between people and the forest. The final stop is the International Fraternity Bridge (489 meters long, 65 meters high), which connects Foz do Iguaçu back to Argentina and frames the two rivers meeting below.
The 9 to 10 hours includes cycling, border crossings, and time at each stop. You need at least moderate fitness for biking and should not have spinal injuries or cardiovascular concerns. The tour is not suited to beginner cyclists. Children are welcome from age 15. A guide speaks Spanish and Portuguese with basic English. Pickup is included.

What is Monday Jump and why is it on this route?
Monday Jump is a waterfall over 40 meters high on the Paraná River in President Franco, Paraguay. In Guarani, "Monday" means "water that steals": legend says Indians left wood on the banks that disappeared by dawn, carried away by the river's currents. It is a major natural landmark on the cycling path between Brazil and Paraguay.
Do I need a passport or visa to cross into Argentina on this tour?
Yes. Brazilian citizens need an RG or CNH. Foreign nationals need a valid visa. You complete border procedures on foot after the ferry crossing into Argentina. The tour includes time for these crossings, but you must have the required documents before you book.
What happens at the Three Borders Landmark?
The Three Borders Landmark (Marco Argentino) is the point where the Paraná and Iguaçu rivers meet. From this spot you can see all three countries (Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina) at once. You cycle there after crossing into Argentina and have time to stand at the landmark and take in the view of the two rivers converging.
Is this tour suitable if I am not an experienced cyclist?
No. The tour requires at least moderate fitness and is not recommended for beginner cyclists. The 55 km route crosses three countries with varied terrain, and you need to be comfortable on a bike for the full 9 to 10 hours. If you are new to cycling, this tour is not the right fit.
What meals are included and where do I eat?
Bottled water is included throughout the day. Breakfast is at a typical Paraguayan bakery (Mi Abuela) and lunch is at an Argentine restaurant, but you pay for both meals separately. The tour stops at these locations. You choose what to order.
What is La Aripuca and what will I do there?
La Aripuca is a cultural and educational site in Argentina that demonstrates the relationship between people and nature. You visit it as part of the afternoon stops after cycling through the indigenous reserve, giving you time to explore the site and learn about the local environment and traditions.
