The experience
The day starts at the Oceanic Aquarium, the largest in southern Brazil, where you walk through more than 100 species across different underwater habitats. From there the guide takes you to the Barra neighborhood to see the Barra Walkway, which links the modern and historic sides of the city where Balneário Camboriú began. A stop at the Barra Sul viewpoint follows, where you get a full view of the coastline and can pose for a photo at the "Eu Amo BC" sign.
The core of the tour is Unipraias Park, the only tourist complex in the world that connects two beaches by aerial cable cars. You ride the cable cars from Laranjeiras beach up to the Mata Atlântica station at the top of Aguada Hill, passing through the Atlantic Forest canopy. From the station, the views span the entire city and coastline. The guide drops you off here and you're free to explore on your own: the Youhooo! is a mountain sled that accelerates to 60 km/hour down the hillside, while the ZipRider sends you descending nearly a kilometer at speeds over 240 meters high, with four chairs running side by side so you can ride with friends or family. If you prefer a slower pace, both activities have braking systems you control. The cable cars also carry you down to Barra Sul beach on the other side.
An optional boat ride aboard a costumed pirate ship with a show is available, as is the FG Ferris Wheel at the end of the day if you choose it, though you'll need to arrange your own return to your hotel if you add that stop. Admission to Unipraias Park costs an additional BRL 70.00, payable on the day. Children under five enter free. Ages six to twelve and adults over sixty pay half price. All other attractions are optional and priced separately. Ask your guide for current rates.
