You arrive in Maun and meet your guide at the airport. After a brief handover, you're driven to Ditshiping Cultural Village for a traditional Botswana welcome, then transferred to the mokoro station nearby. From there, expert local guides pole you through winding water channels in a traditional dugout canoe—a slow, quiet way to move through the delta that lets you watch wildlife without the noise of an engine. The ride ends at your remote camping site deep in the NG 32 concession, where you'll spend the next two nights in a 2.5 by 2.5 meter mobile tent with bedding and linen. You have the afternoon free to settle in, or join a mokoro ride or walking safari before dinner around the campfire.

Day two is the full immersion. After breakfast, you set out on a walking safari with your guide, moving through the delta's varied terrain on foot—grassland, channels, islands—to get close to wildlife and learn the plants and animals that make up the ecosystem. Mid-morning brings a bush breakfast served in the open. In the afternoon, you're back in a mokoro for a different angle on the same landscape, poling through channels you didn't see that morning and spotting animals from the water.
