The experience

Bonaire has over 80 shore dive sites, and your guide chooses which one based on conditions and what you want to explore that day. You're picked up directly at the cruise terminal, so there's no hunting for a boat or waiting in a group. After a briefing tailored to your experience level, you head into the water at one of the island's iconic reefs: the kind of site where you can see the coral architecture and the fish life without the noise of a larger operation around you.

The dive itself is unhurried. You set the pace, and the guide's attention stays on you the entire time, whether you're brushing up on skills, exploring new underwater terrain, or just enjoying a stress-free dive in clear water. Between the two dives, you surface, rest, and eat fresh fruit and snacks while your guide talks through what you saw and what comes next. The whole experience runs about four hours from pickup to drop-off.

All tanks and weights are provided. Nitrox is available at no extra charge if you want it. The guide is a medical professional and experienced instructor, so safety and comfort are built into how the day runs. You bring your own wetsuit and dive boots, but if you need to rent a BCD, regulator, mask or fins, those are available.
