The experience

Your guide meets you at your hotel and walks with you through the city center, starting at the Grand Place: the medieval heart of Brussels and its most recognizable square. From there the route moves through the narrow streets to Manneken Pis, then into the Royal Galleries, a covered arcade of shops and cafés built in the 1800s. You'll see the Royal Palace and Mont des Arts, which overlooks the lower city, and finish in the Sablon, a quieter neighborhood lined with art galleries and antique dealers.

The walk covers about ten kilometers, so comfortable shoes matter. Your guide is a certified local who speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or another language you choose at booking, and will answer questions about where to eat, what beer to try, or which chocolate shop is worth a stop. If a museum catches your interest during the walk, the guide can arrange entry on the spot. Bottled water is provided throughout.
