Beer Tasting Workshop Brussels: Learn at Tipsy Tribe Microbrewery
Taste four beers, learn what to look for, walk through a working brewery
A beer tasting workshop at Tipsy Tribe microbrewery in Brussels where you taste four in-house beer styles, learn to assess flavor, aroma, appearance and mouthfeel from the head brewer-distiller, and tour the brewery floor where the beer is actually made. The workshop runs 90 minutes, includes light snacks, and is taught in English or French; you must be at least 16 years old to participate.
The Experience
What makes a beer taste the way it does? The workshop starts with that question and moves straight into tasting—four different styles brewed on-site at Tipsy Tribe, each one a chance to practice what the head brewer-distiller is teaching you about flavor profiles, aromas, appearance and mouthfeel. You're not sitting in a classroom; you're standing in the actual brewery, surrounded by the tanks and equipment where these beers are made every day. Light snacks come with the tasting to complement what you're drinking.
The tour is built into the workshop itself. Between tastings, you move through the brewery floor with someone who makes the beer there, so you see the process and understand why each style tastes different. The whole thing runs 90 minutes, which is long enough to move past the first sip and actually learn something, but short enough to fit into an afternoon without reshaping your day.
After the workshop ends, you can stay in the tap room if you want—order more craft beers, cocktails or snacks on your own time. The brewery is near public transportation, so getting there without a car is straightforward. You do need to be of legal drinking age (minimum 16) to join.
