The experience
You board an authentic sailing catamaran at the Careenage in Bridgetown and head out into Carlisle Bay. The boat stays small, just 12 guests maximum, so there's room to move and shade to sit in without crowding. Once you reach the snorkeling sites, you slip into the water with provided gear and a life jacket to find sea turtles, colorful coral, and tropical fish moving through the wrecks. The guide is there in English, and the whole snorkeling stretch is built around what you actually want to see, not a rushed checklist.
After the water work, the sail back is the wind-down part: you're on deck with unlimited rum punch, beer, coconut rum, or soft drinks while the boat moves across the bay. The crew handles everything (snorkeling equipment, safety gear, the drinks), so you show up and get in the water. If three hours of activity and sailing feels like enough, you return to the Bridgetown dock. If you want the day to keep going, you can stay on Carlisle Bay beach instead. The sand is famously soft, and restaurants and bars line the shore. Chairs and umbrellas are available to rent on the beach, though you'll arrange your own way back to town.
What’s included
- Snorkeling equipment and life jackets.
- a three-hour sailing catamaran experience with a live English-speaking guide.
