Which wine actually goes with white chocolate? Which dry reds can handle chocolate at all? You find out by tasting them. Tulloch Wines, one of Hunter Valley's original wine families across four generations, pairs each of their 5 wines with a matching artisan chocolate made locally in the region, and the pairing is the point. A wine educator or guide leads you through the tasting in a private seated area, walking you through why each match works (or doesn't), and you take home a tasting guide so you can remember what you learned.

The 45-minute experience includes everything: the 5 wines, the 5 chocolates, your tasting mat, and the guide's introduction. If you're bringing kids aged 3 to 12, they get their own junior tasting with 4 soft drinks and 4 matching snacks, all nut and gluten-free. Teens aged 13–17 and other non-drinkers receive a Mailer McGuire kombucha tasting paired with a local cheese box instead. Infants under 3 can sit on a lap or in a stroller at no extra charge. The tasting room is fully wheelchair accessible, and the experience suits all fitness levels.

Tulloch is located 2 hours from Sydney and 45 minutes from Newcastle, so it's an easy drive into the Hunter Valley. Wine tasting is available only to guests aged 18 and over. Everyone else in your group gets their own tailored experience.
