Perth to Margaret River: 2-Day Wine Tour with Overnight Stay

Taste your way through Margaret River's wineries and coastal stops in two days

This 2-day tour departs Perth for Margaret River's wine region, with hotel pickup and drop-off, two nights of accommodation and guided stops at wineries, Ngilgi Cave and coastal landmarks. Day one includes morning tea, Busselton Jetty, Sugarloaf Rock and a three-course lunch with wine tasting at Clairault Estate, followed by dinner at a choice of restaurants. Day two covers Margaret River Mouth, the Ancient Lands Experience at Ngilgi Cave, and a second three-course lunch at Wise Restaurant before returning to Perth by 6pm.

The experience

The tour picks you up from your Perth or Fremantle hotel at 8am and heads south toward Margaret River. You stop at Crooked Carrot Café for morning tea in a countryside setting, then pause at Busselton Jetty and Sugarloaf Rock for photos of the coastline. Before lunch, you visit Coward & Black Providore and Margaret River Chocolate Company to sample local produce. The day's main event is a three-course gourmet lunch with premium wine tasting at Clairault Estate, where you spend time at the cellar door. You then check into your overnight accommodation at either Margaret's Beach Resort or Margaret's In Town Apartments, with dinner that evening at a restaurant of your choice: La Scarpetta for Italian, Miki's Open Kitchen for Japanese, or Swings & Roundabouts for Modern Australian.

Day two starts with pickup from your accommodation at 8:30am and breakfast at White Elephant Café overlooking Prevelly Beach, or at Margaret River Bakery. You visit Margaret River Mouth for another scenic stop, then head to Ngilgi Cave in Yallingup for the Ancient Lands Experience, a guided walk through the cave system. A premium wine tasting follows at Credaro Estate, a family-owned cellar door. The tour ends with a three-course lunch at Wise Restaurant, one of the region's best vineyard restaurants, before you return to your Perth or Fremantle hotel by 6pm.

A live English or Chinese-speaking guide leads the entire tour. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, and children from age one are welcome. All wine tastings, cave entry, both gourmet lunches with wine, morning tea and all venue fees are covered in the price.
