The experience

Earp Distilling Co. walks you through the fundamentals of spirit-making before you get hands-on. The expert team covers the history and technique of traditional and contemporary spirits, then moves into the blending itself: the process of combining premium distillates to build a flavor profile that's entirely yours. You're not watching a demonstration. You're doing the work with basic lab equipment, learning how small choices in each ingredient shift the final taste.

You start by picking your base: gin, vodka or rum. From there, you sample from over 20 premium distillates and build your blend in real time, tasting as you go. The process takes the full hour, and there's no "right" answer. The point is to create something you actually want to drink. Once you've landed on your mix, you name your spirit and hand-label the 200mL bottle yourself, turning it into something you made, not something you bought.

The bottle goes home with you as a keepsake or a gift. You also get 10% off anything at the cellar door on the day, so if you fall in love with something else while you're there, the discount applies. The venue is wheelchair accessible, and public transportation options are nearby.
