The experience

I’ll be honest, I almost bailed when I saw the first bar was down this alley that looked like it led nowhere. Just bins and the distant sound of someone playing pool. But our guide (I think his name was Sam?) waved us in with this “trust me” grin, so we followed. Inside it was all neon lights and old rock posters, and someone handed me a shot before I could even order a drink.
