The Experience
You arrive on Kangaroo Island with a private guide who speaks your language and a vehicle that stays with you for both days. The first morning heads to Seal Bay, where you walk elevated boardwalks overlooking turquoise water and white sand to watch Australian sea lions — one of the world's rarest species — resting, playing and nursing pups in their natural habitat. There are no fences, no enclosures; it's a wild encounter. Your guide explains their behaviour and the conservation work protecting them while you photograph and observe. From there the day moves through Baudin Conservation Park, where you walk coastal trails through native bushland spotting kangaroos, wallabies and birdlife, then to Emu Ridge, the island's only eucalyptus oil distillery, where you see the traditional distillation process and sample 100% pure eucalyptus oil in a relaxed café setting.
Day two focuses on the island's dramatic landscapes. You visit Vivonne Bay, a white-sand beach often ranked among Australia's most beautiful, sheltered and calm for swimming or beach walking. Then comes Flinders Chase National Park: Remarkable Rocks, a collection of massive granite boulders sculpted over 500 million years and covered in golden-orange lichen, sit atop a dome with sweeping coastal views. Admirals Arch, a sea cave carved by centuries of waves, has a boardwalk descending the cliffside past hanging stalactites and a colony of long-nosed fur seals. Stokes Bay surprises you with a hidden white-sand beach accessed through natural rock tunnels — the protected rock lagoon creates calm, crystal-clear water for swimming. Between stops you drive around the island spotting koalas and birds. Lunch is included both days. Because this is a private tour, your guide will take you to secret places and adjust the route to match what interests you most.
Accommodation is not included, so you arrange your own lodging on the island. The guide is multilingual — English, Spanish, Italian or French — and pickup from your accommodation is included. The tour suits all fitness levels, and infants can ride in a pram or stroller with specialized infant seats available.
