The tour picks you up from a convenient downtown Hobart location and drives you into Coal River Valley, where you'll taste at 4 different cellar doors across the day. Because the group stays small, you're welcomed as a guest rather than processed as a visitor—the winemakers know you're coming and some guide the tastings themselves. The stops rotate weekly, so regulars see different producers, and the operator takes requests if there's a particular cellar door you want to visit.

Around midday you sit down to a chef-prepared lunch at the vineyard, with local gourmet dishes and dietary needs catered for. This is included in the tour price with no hidden costs. Between tastings you'll also stop at a cheesemaker where you can try 6 to 8 different cheeses and pick up snacks for the rest of the day. Complimentary chilled bottled water is provided throughout, and the vehicles are new luxury Mercedes mini-buses designed for comfort on a full day out.
