This combo activity pairs tandem parasailing 400 feet above Gold Coast's Broadwater with a 30-minute jet boat ride through the same waters, departing from Marina Mirage. You're harnessed in full safety gear for around 8 minutes of flight, then board a purpose-built jet boat for high-speed runs, 360-degree spins, high-speed slides and fishtailing. The full experience runs about 3 hours; a guide in English or Japanese is included, and all gear—life jacket, harness, valuables storage—is provided.

The Experience

If you've got a free morning on the Gold Coast and want to move fast between two completely different rushes, this is the setup: parasailing and jet boating back-to-back from the same base. You show up at Marina Mirage 30 minutes before your session, hand over your valuables for storage, and get fitted into a harness and life jacket. The parasail boat tows you up to 400 feet above the Broadwater—the sheltered water between the coast and the barrier islands—and you stay airborne for around 8 minutes while your partner or friend flies alongside. The height gives you the whole Gold Coast spread out below: Surfers Paradise, the beaches, the inland suburbs. Then you come down, step straight onto the jet boat, and the pace changes entirely.

The jet boat does a 45-kilometer round trip through the same Broadwater at speeds up to 75kph, which is fast enough that the driver can throw in 360-degree spins, high-speed slides and fishtailing without running out of room. It's 30 minutes of that, so you're not sitting still long enough to get bored but not so long that your shoulders give out from gripping. The whole thing—suiting up, flying, the boat ride, getting back to the dock—takes about 3 hours. You need to be at least 8 years old and 100 centimeters tall to fly, and the weight range is 65 to 200 kilograms per person. A guide speaks English or Japanese throughout.
