From there, the route moves through Wynns (the original 1896 winery that launched Coonawarra as a premium region), where you'll see the historic cellar and hear the story of John Riddoch, the man who made it all possible. A stop at the railway siding gives you the photo moment Coonawarra visitors always take, then you move into the limestone cellar door at Katnook, which has been growing Terra Rossa vineyards since 1867.

The final stop is Raidis, a family winery where you can taste their full range in a genuinely welcoming space: couches inside, lawns outside, and the option of a Greek coffee from Chris Raidis himself. They're the only producer of Pinot Gris in Coonawarra, so it's worth trying.
