The experience
You arrive at the beach and board the boat with the captain and crew. Once you reach the parasailing area, the crew fits you into a harness (single, tandem or triple depending on your weight and wind conditions), and walks you through the setup. The parachute opens at the back of the boat, and when you're ready, the crew hooks you to it. The captain then maneuvers the boat to lift you swiftly into the air, reaching between 400 and 600 feet. That's when the full 360° view opens up: the vast Caribbean stretching in every direction, the Aruba coastline below, and on clear days, a chance to spot sea turtles moving through the water.
You spend roughly 8 minutes aloft taking it in. The crew watches from the platform and brings you back down smoothly, detaching you from the parachute once you're safely on deck. You can rest for the boat ride back to shore. The whole experience, from boarding to return, runs 30 to 45 minutes. Life vests and all parasailing equipment are included. The operator requires a minimum weight of 180 pounds and a maximum of 400 pounds, and these limits may shift slightly depending on wind conditions on the day.
What’s included
- Life vests and parasailing equipment for single, tandem or triple harness setups.
- captain and crew to manage all setup, safety and launch procedures.
