Twelve Minutes Above Aruba's Clearest Water

You arrive at the beach building, board a boat heading half a mile offshore, and get lifted 12 minutes into the air on a parasail with full equipment provided. Conditions determine the start time, and the Captain decides whether you go solo or tandem based on safety. You return to the same beach spot where you started.

Step-by-step itinerary

Parasailing adventure in Aruba

  • Check in at beachside building
  • Board boat near Hilton and Barcelo resorts
  • Parasail half a mile offshore
  • Enjoy 12 minutes in the air
  • Spot turtles and sunken ship

The Experience

The boat pulls away from the brown building on the beach between the Hilton and Barcelo resorts, heading half a mile offshore into water so clear you can see straight through it. That's when the parasail harness gets checked one more time, the rope extends, and you're lifted off the deck. Twelve minutes doesn't sound like much until you're up there — the whole northern coast of Aruba spreads out below, and the Caribbean shifts from turquoise to deep blue the farther out you go. On a good day, people spot sea turtles moving through the shallows or the outline of a sunken ship on the seafloor.

The whole parasailing experience depends on wind, so there's no fixed start time — the crew watches conditions and calls you when it's right. Sometimes that's early morning, sometimes mid-afternoon. You can go up solo or tandem depending on weight and what the Captain decides is safe that day. All the equipment is included, and the boat crew handles the technical side; you just show up at the brown building on the beach and let them take it from there.

Public transport runs nearby if you're not staying at one of the resorts, so getting to the launch point isn't complicated. The whole thing moves fast — check-in, boat ride out, the lift, the float, the descent back to the deck. It's short, but it's the kind of short that stays with you.

What’s included

  • Your experience includes the 12-minute parasail ride and all equipment needed.
  • The boat takes you half a mile offshore from the beach between the Hilton and Barcelo resorts, and the crew handles setup and safety checks.
