The experience
You arrive at the school, stow your gear in a locker and get fitted with watershoes and a life jacket if you need one. The instructor walks you through the basics on the beach first (how the wind moves the sail, where your hands and feet go, how to tag the boom) before you step into the water. The first hour alternates between short teaching bursts and practice time, so you're absorbing one piece at a time instead of drowning in information. The water stays waist-deep and warm, and the trade winds that make Aruba famous for windsurfing are what you'll feel under the sail as you learn to steer.
In the second hour, you're on your own with the board and the wind. The instructor watches from the beach and steps in only if you get stuck, but most of the time you're working through what you just learned without someone talking you through it. That's when the sport clicks, when your body starts feeling how to shift your weight and angle the sail instead of just thinking about it.
When you're done, you rinse off in the fresh water shower and can sit on the beach in a hammock or chair to talk through what you felt. Pickup from your hotel is included, and the instructor speaks your language: English, Spanish, French or Dutch.

Is this one for you?If your hotel is within the standard pickup area, the lesson is all-inclusive and ready to go. If it's outside that zone, confirm the pickup fee when you book. The instructor adjusts the pace to your fitness level, but you should be comfortable in waist-deep water and have at least moderate fitness to handle the physical demands of holding the sail and moving on the board.

Live guide in English, Spanish, French and Dutch.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What do I actually learn in a two-hour windsurfing lesson?
You learn how to hold the sail and boom, where to place your feet and hands, how to tag the boom to change direction, and how to feel the wind's power through the sail. The first hour mixes short explanations with practice. The second hour is solo practice time under supervision so you can work through it yourself.
Do I need to know how to swim or have windsurfing experience?
The lesson takes place in waist-deep water, and a life jacket is available on request. You don't need prior experience: the instructor teaches from the ground up and adjusts the pace to what you're picking up.

It's private for one or two people maximum, so couples can go together and get personalized attention the whole time.
What's included in the price, and what costs extra?
The lesson includes the instructor, all windsurfing equipment, watershoes, beach chairs and hammocks, a fresh water shower, Wi-Fi, and hotel pickup. A life jacket is available on request. If your hotel is outside the standard pickup zone, there's a small additional fee.
