The Experience
What makes this tour different from the standard beach loop is the terrain itself. You're traveling by 4x4 jeep into Aruba's northside, where the landscape shifts from resort sand to black stone beaches, volcanic rock formations, and the kind of coastline most visitors never reach. The guide is a local who knows the history—the gold mill that operated here, the petroglyphs the Arawak people left on the Ayo Rock Formations, the story of the California Lighthouse perched on a hill overlooking both the calm south side and the rough northern coast.
The seven stops unfold across four hours. You start at Blackstone Beach with its dark sand and rounded stones, then move to the 3 Sister Bridges—three arch formations attached in a triangle. From there the route takes you to Ayo Rock Formations, a cluster of massive ancient boulders with petroglyphs carved into them, and past Andicuri Beach, where big waves and white sand show you a different face of the island. You'll stop at one of Aruba's seven natural bridges—the Wariruri or Baby Bridge—formed by limestone erosion along the shore. The Bushiribana Gold Mill ruins, built from volcanic rock, come with the full story: what the gold was, how it was processed, the history behind it. California Lighthouse rounds out the tour with views of both sides of the island from its hilltop perch.
The tour ends at a calm bay near Malmok Beach where the water is clear and the marine life is visible. You can swim, or if you want the adrenaline, cliff-jump into the bay. Water and a light snack are included throughout. Hotel pickup is arranged, and the guide speaks English, Spanish, or Dutch depending on your preference.

Is this one for you?The off-road driving and stops at each landmark mean you're moving between sites rather than hiking long distances, so this works for most fitness levels—but the jeep itself bounces over rough terrain, which is not suitable for anyone with spinal injuries or serious cardiovascular concerns. If you want the northside's remote beaches and rock formations without renting a car or navigating unpaved roads yourself, the 4x4 and the local guide handle both.

What is Blackstone Beach like compared to other beaches in Aruba?
Blackstone Beach is the opposite of Aruba's white sand beaches—it has black sand and rounded blackstone rocks, and sits next to the 3 Sister Bridges, three arch formations attached to each other in a triangle shape that makes for striking photographs.
Can I swim or jump off the rocks at the bay where the tour ends?
Yes. The final stop is a calm bay near Malmok Beach with crystal-clear water and vibrant marine life, where you can swim or attempt cliff-jumping if you want the extra thrill.
How much walking is involved in this jeep tour?
Most of the tour is spent in the jeep traveling between stops, but you'll get out to explore each landmark—the rock formations, the bridges, the mill ruins, and the lighthouse—on foot at each location.
What was the Bushiribana Gold Mill used for?
Bushiribana Gold Mill is one of Aruba's historical sites built from volcanic rock. The guide explains the gold extraction process, the history of the operation, and the significance of the ruins, and you'll have time for photographs.
Is this tour suitable for children?
Children are welcome from age 5 and up. The tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels, though it is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or pregnant travelers.
What's included in the tour price?
