The Experience
The day starts with pickup from your hotel and a drive north along Costanera Avenue toward Tigre. On the way, you'll pass through San Isidro, where the Cathedral and the mansions of Buenos Aires' old aristocratic families line the streets. Once you reach Tigre, you board a catamaran for a 60-minute cruise through the delta's network of rivers and channels.
The boat passes landmarks that define the region: the Parque de la Costa amusement park, the Club de Regatas La Marina, and the Sarmiento House Museum, former home of President Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. You'll also see the Tigre Art Museum, an architectural landmark from 1912. Throughout the cruise, you observe how island residents live—the floating taxis, the supermarket boats, the rhythm of life built around water instead of roads. After the cruise, you return to the coach for the ride back to Buenos Aires.
If you choose the lunch option at checkout, the tour concludes at Rodizio Madero in Puerto Madero instead. The restaurant sits on the docks with direct views of the Woman's Bridge. A three-course meal includes a selection of premium meat cuts, appetizers, side dishes and desserts; drinks are ordered separately. The guide speaks English and Spanish throughout the day.
