The experience
The day starts with a 30-minute drive to Achaval-Ferrer, where centennial Malbec plants grow in low-production vineyards overlooking the Andes. You spend 90 minutes here tasting wines and learning the vineyard's approach to the region's signature varietal. After a 20-minute ride, Pulmary is next: a family winery making small quantities of certified organic wine using long fermentations and concrete tanks in an underground cellar. This stop also runs 90 minutes, letting you see how the winery's methods shape the final wine.
The final two and a half hours happen at Finca La Anita, a family estate in Alto Agrelo that has worked the same 72 hectares since 1990. Lunch is served here, and you taste the winery's own production while eating. A 30-minute drive returns you to Mendoza afterward. Bottled water and all alcoholic beverages are included throughout the day. The guide may adjust which wineries you visit depending on availability, but the quality of the experience stays the same.
