The Masca road is considered one of Europe's most beautiful drives, and you cross it without the rush of a packed bus.

A small-group tour of northern Tenerife that visits Icod de los Vinos, Garachico and Masca Valley in five to six hours, with entrance to the Millennium Drago and free time to explore each place at your own pace. Includes private transportation, a live guide, bottled water and snacks. The tour avoids the massive excursions: group size stays small and the pace lets you linger at viewpoints and walk the historic centers without being hurried along.

  • Visit Millennium Drago tree
  • Stroll historic Icod de los Vinos
  • Discover Garachico town and pools
  • Enjoy views and walk in Masca

The experience

Icod de los Vinos opens the day at the Millennium Drago, an ancient tree that stands as one of the Canary Islands' most recognizable natural symbols. You'll walk the landscaped grounds, learn its history and cultural significance, then have free time to explore the historic center on your own: strolling the streets, taking pictures or simply sitting with the local atmosphere around you.

Garachico comes next, a town shaped by its volcanic past. The natural pools of El Caletón formed where lava met the sea, and you'll have time to walk the coastline and wander the old streets without a schedule pushing you forward. From there the route crosses the Masca road, a winding mountain pass that earns its reputation, and ends at the hamlet of Masca itself. You stop to take in the views of the valley and the ravines of the Massif de Teno, walk around the village and photograph the scenery, but the steep descent into the ravine is not part of this tour.

The guide speaks English, Spanish or French depending on the group, and travels with you throughout. Water and snacks come included, and pickup from your hotel is arranged before you book.
