The experience
The tuk tuk itself is the draw here. An open-air ride that lets you feel the island as you move through it, not sealed behind glass. Your guide picks you up from your hotel or cruise port and drives you straight to English Harbour, where Nelson's Dockyard National Park sits as a restored 18th-century naval base. You get a guided walk through the dockyard, then free time to shop, photograph the stone buildings and waterfront, or grab refreshments on your own. Entrance to both the dockyard and Shirley's Heights is already paid for, so there's no line or extra ticket at the gate.
From the dockyard, the route climbs to Shirley's Heights for a guided stop with panoramic views across the harbour and the coast. Then you head to Galleon Beach in English Harbour, where the pace shifts to yours: swim, snorkel (gear available to rent on-site), sit at the Loose Cannon bar and restaurant, or just watch the water. The snorkel site sits near the Pillars of Hercules Rock Formation, and the gear rental is separate from the tour price if you want it.
The final stop is 2 Six 8 Craft Beer Brewery, where you'll hear how local beers are made and taste samples of their brews. Lite bites, rum punch, fruit punch and water come with the tour. The ride back to your hotel or port happens in the same open tuk tuk, ending the day as it started.
