The experience

The boat leaves Vlore and heads to Haxhi Ali, a sea cave large enough to enter by water where you can snorkel and dive inside the chamber itself. From there the route runs south along the Karaburun Peninsula's western edge, passing cliffs, gorges and natural rock formations that rise from the Ionian Sea. The guide stops at multiple locations: Dafina Beach and its adjoining Dafina Cave (a 30-meter swim from the beach), Llovizi Bay with several caves to explore, and the Hidden Seal Monk Cave, a blue cave the operator describes as one of the Marine Park's most striking features. Each stop is a choice: you decide whether to snorkel the reef, swim, or simply float and take in the view.

Grama Bay itself is the final major stop, where the day opens up. You can snorkel in the reef if you want, hike to a high stone viewpoint for photographs and panoramas, or anchor and relax with a drink. The boat carries all the snorkeling gear you need, plus beers, sodas, water and snacks throughout the day.
