The experience
The tour splits into two halves, each led by a guide who knows that country's side of the falls. You start on the Zimbabwean side, walking through the rainforest to reach the viewpoints there, then cross the border into Zambia with help from your guides handling the paperwork. On the Zambian side, you get a different angle on the water and the gorge. The whole day runs six to seven hours, and you choose between a 9:00 AM start or a 12:30 PM departure depending on what fits the rest of your schedule.
Shared tours cap at six people, which means the pace stays relaxed and you're not herded through with a crowd. If your group is larger than six, you can book together as a private tour and keep your own party intact without mixing with strangers. Transportation between the two countries is included, as is the help getting through border procedures: your guides handle the logistics so you don't have to figure out the crossings yourself. You get bottled water and raincoats, which matter when you're standing near the spray. If you want to eat, your guide can point you to a restaurant and adjust the timing. Lunch is optional and you pay the restaurant directly.
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. The KAZA UniVisa covers both Zimbabwe and Zambia and is often the simplest option if you're eligible, but check the latest rules for your country before you book. All visa fees are your own cost. Entrance fees to the falls on either side are also separate from the tour price.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (5 to 11 years); Infant (under 5): free.
Do I need a visa to visit Victoria Falls from both Zimbabwe and Zambia?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. The KAZA UniVisa is available to eligible travelers and covers both countries, making it the most convenient option for this tour. Check your country's latest requirements before booking, as eligibility and fees vary. All visa costs are paid by you directly.
What's the difference between the Zimbabwean and Zambian sides of the falls?
Each side offers different viewpoints and perspectives of the water and gorge. Your Zimbabwean guide leads you through the rainforest to the viewpoints on that side, and your Zambian guide shows you the angles and landscape from the Zambian side. The two guides give you local insight specific to each country's geography, wildlife and history.
How does the border crossing work during the tour?
Your guides handle the border-crossing procedures, so you don't navigate the paperwork yourself. Transportation between Zimbabwe and Zambia is included in the tour, and the guides manage the logistics of moving between the two countries.
What happens if my group is larger than six people?
Groups larger than six can book together as a private tour and will not be mixed with other clients. Your group stays together throughout the day with the same two guides.
