The experience
The route covers five distinct wildlife zones across Zimbabwe and Botswana, each with its own rhythm and animal populations. You begin with a 170-kilometer transfer from Victoria Falls airport through Hwange National Park to your lodge, spotting wildlife and passing through local villages along the way. The next morning brings a full-day game drive through Hwange's 14,600 square kilometers, with a picnic lunch in the park and chances to see the Big Five before returning to the lodge by late afternoon.
Victoria Falls anchors the middle of the journey. After transferring from Hwange, you take a two-hour guided tour of the falls on foot, experiencing the mist and roar of the water up close. A helicopter flight is available as an optional add-on for a bird's-eye view. The evening before includes a two-hour sunset cruise on the Zambezi River followed by dinner and a drum show at The Boma, an interactive cultural experience with traditional African food and live entertainment.
Chobe National Park gets two full days. You'll do an early morning game drive starting at 6am, a boat cruise along the Chobe River with lunch at Mowana River Lodge, and a sunset boat cruise, giving you multiple angles on the park's dense elephant herds, zebras, giraffes and other species. The transfer to Elephant Sands covers 250 kilometers and takes roughly 3.5 to 4 hours. You arrive around lunchtime, rest, then head out for an afternoon game drive. The evening is spent around an open fire watching elephants come to the waterhole.
The final stretch moves you toward the Okavango Delta. After a 350-kilometer drive from Elephant Sands to Maun (about 5 hours), passing through national park areas and rural villages, you spend a day exploring the delta by traditional mokoro canoe (a narrow, pole-driven boat that glides silently through waterways), and on foot, spotting hippos, wading elephants and birds. Your last day offers time for optional activities before transfer to Maun airport for departure, depending on your flight schedule.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 12 years); Infant (1 to 2 years): free.
What animals will I see on the game drives in Hwange and Chobe?
Hwange and Chobe are home to large herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, kudus, buffaloes, impalas and lions, along with many other species. The two parks' dense animal populations and diverse habitats mean sightings vary by season and time of day, with early morning and sunset drives offering the best opportunities.
How do I get around the Okavango Delta?
The Okavango Delta is explored by traditional mokoro, a narrow canoe-like boat poled silently through the waterways, and on foot. The mokoro lets you glide among reeds and islands to spot hippos, wading elephants and birds up close, while the walking safari connects you with the ecosystem on ground level.
What is included in the accommodation?
Overnight stays are included at Hwange Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel, Travelodge in Chobe, Elephant Sands, and Sedia Riverside Hotel in Maun. All transfers between locations, game drives, the Zambezi River cruise, and the Boma dinner show are also included. Your guide and air-conditioned vehicle travel with you throughout.
Is there time to see Victoria Falls more than once?
Yes. You get a two-hour guided walking tour of the falls during the day, and a helicopter flight is available as an optional add-on for an aerial view. The sunset Zambezi River cruise the evening before also offers views of the falls area from the water.
Do I need a visa to visit Zimbabwe and Botswana?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality and are not included in this tour package. Check the entry requirements for both Zimbabwe and Botswana before booking and arrange visas as needed.
