The experience

You're picked up from your Lusaka lodge or hotel and driven westward on the M9 road toward Kafue National Park's central region, arriving at Mwafushi Safari Lodge by evening. The lodge sits inside the park and serves as your base for the full day of activities that follows: game drives to spot wildlife, a boat cruise on the water, a sunset cruise, fishing, mountain hiking and walking safaris through the bush. The pace is yours to set. You choose which activities suit the day.

Meals come with the package: breakfast, lunch and dinner each day you're there. The lodge handles the logistics, so you show up and move between activities without arranging transport or food separately. On day three you drive back to Lusaka, arriving by afternoon. The whole trip fits into a long weekend, which is the point: Kafue's wilderness without the time commitment of a longer safari.

A single supplement of 30% applies if you're traveling alone. Rates are per adult sharing a room. The 10% service charge is mandatory on all hospitality bookings in Zambia and will be added to your bill. Park entry fees into Kafue National Park through the MUSA gate are not included in the package price.
