Walking and tasting tour in Cardiff

  • Meet guide inside Cardiff Castle
  • Learn about Cardiff Castle attractions
  • Taste Welsh tea, coffee, and cake
  • Visit indoor market and family-run deli
  • Try Cardiff's famous Clark's pies
  • Pass by Principality Stadium

The experience

You meet your guide inside Cardiff Castle at 10am for Welsh tea or coffee and cake in the Keep Terrace café, with a brief talk about the castle itself. From there the walk moves through the city to a family-run deli in the indoor market: a fifth-generation business where you try one of Cardiff's famous Clark's pies. The route takes in the Principality Stadium, home of Welsh rugby, and stops for Welshcakes, cheeses and Welsh rarebit along the way. Cider is included as one of the tastings. If you prefer to skip it, let the operator know when you book.

The whole thing wraps by 12:30, so it fits neatly into a Saturday morning without eating the rest of your day. Your guide speaks English and will teach you a few words of Welsh as you go. All five tastings are included in the price, so there's nothing to buy separately at each stop.
